This carving is inspired by the story of the Flying Heads and the old, widowed woman who tricked one of the Flying Heads, who was curious of the acorns the woman was eating. The woman convinced the Flying head to eat a hot coal she was using to roast the acorns. The Flying Head ate the hot coal and let out a painful scream and flew away, never to be seen again.
